NOIDA: A five-year-old UKG class student of a private school in Noida died in agony on Sunday after being scolded by his school teacher a few days ago.

The child was struggling with his health for the last couple of days and died in child PGI hospital in Sector 30, Noida on Sunday morning.

The incident took place few days ago in his school in village Chotpur of Sector 63 here.

The deceased, identified as Ayush, was a resident of Chotpur colony. His parents admitted Ayush in the school just a week ago.

The family members of the deceased alleged that one of Ayush's school teachers scolded him in class following which he went into trauma and a sudden change in his behaviour was recorded.

“We have received a complaint from deceased's family members that a school teacher is allegedly responsible for the death of the child. A police team was also sent to the school on Sunday but as it was a holiday, we found no one there. Our investigations are on and the guilty will definitely be punished,” said Arun Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police, Noida.

However. no FIR has been registered against the alleged teacher or school yet as the police are awaiting the post mortem.

“The prima facie investigations and no sign of external injuries found on the victim's body, make it clear that there was no physical assault done to the child. The victim's family members have alleged that the child was scolded by his teacher due to which he suffered a mental shock. Such can only be made clear in the post mortem reports. The body has been sent for the post mortem and the reports are awaited,” said Ajay Kumar, Circle Officer-2nd, Noida.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary of District Student's Guardians Association, Anoop Khanna said, “Today, the children have become very sensitive. Though there is a need to scold the child in certain conditions but the intensity of the anger and scolding should always be maintained by the guardians and the teachers.” NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has registered a case of forgery on a complaint by former Lok Sabha MP Ram Sevak Singh who has alleged that his signature was forged on papers listing questions pertaining to different ministries in 2005.

Singh, who was a Congress member in the House, was expelled in December 2005 from Parliament for allegedly accepting bribes for asking questions. His son Dharamveer Singh claimed that 31 questions pertaining to different ministries were submitted in his father's name in August 2005.

The Lok Sabha Secretariat informed his father about the signatures not matching after verification, he said. He claimed that his father signed in English, but the questions submitted to the Lok Sabha had his father's signature in Hindi.

"My father was ill for more than two years after 2005. It was in 2008 that I started filing RTIS to get details about the matter," he said.

The Lok Sabha Secretariat last year accepted that the signature on the questions allegedly submitted by the former MP were forged and asked the MP to approach the police, he said. However, an FIR was registered in the matter on July 14 on the directions of Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik, police said.

A senior police officer said that a case under sections relating to forgery for purpose of cheating has been registered and an investigation is underway.

The family members of the deceased alleged that one of Ayush’s school teachers scolded him in class following which he went into trauma and a sudden change in his behaviour was recorded.
