Adityanath unveils UP RERA website

- RAHUL SINGH

NOIDA: With the launch of UP RERA website by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday, the aggrieved homebuyers of Noida and Greater Noida have welcomed the big development in the real estate sector wholeheartedly.

They feel that the move will bring transparency in the realty sector and will help the home buyers to choose wisely among the available registered builders that will be present on a single platform.

The UP RERA basically means Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority. The link to the website is http:// www.up-rera.in/.

Soon after the launch, the buyers started logging in to express their grumble both about their individual projects as well as about the nature of RERA.

“We welcome the move whole heartedly as this will stop the harassment of home buyers by builders up to some extent.

"The builders will have to register themselves on the website which will provide the Home buyers with complete information on the builders from whom he or she is planning to buy a property,” said Anu Khan, President, Noida Extension Flat Owner’s Main Association.

“However, we are dissatisfied with the manner in which the RERA has been brought in as the definition of the ongoing projects. The RERA act has been diluted for the state. We want the government to implement the same RERA as implemented in the centre,” added Khan.

Through the website, people can verify details about the builders’ antecedents.
