GURUGRAM: Two sleaze rackets that was operational in the high end malls at MG road and Sohna road were busted on Thursday.

The first raid was conducted at the Alive Spa in Sahara mall on MG Road from where five women and one male manager were arrested. They will be charged under sections of 3, 4,5,7,8 of the immoral trafficking act.

The second raid was conducted at the Golden Spa of Omaxe mall in Sohna road where seven people, including two male clients, three female workers and two male managers were arrested.

Earlier in June, the police had conducted raids in high end places situated at Golf Course road, Sohna Road and MG Road and made arrests of who are involved in the sex trade.

"On timely basis, the police cracks down on the sex racket that is mainly operational in spa centres and guesthouses. Citizen participation and police crackdown have resulted many people involved in these trades being arrested,” said a senior Gurugram police official.

“In addition to closely monitoring the functioning of spa and massage parlours, we have also had a word with the pubs in malls. They have been asked to install CCTC cameras and not encourage underage drinking. The illegal activities occurring in pubs and the spas should be seen in same context,” he added.

“It definitely comes as a shock when crimes like sex trade are being busted in areas where large number of residents visit. It is commendable that such actions are being taken by the police but the effort must be persistent,” said Archana Srivastava, who is a regular visitor to the malls. GREATER NOIDA: A sevenyear-old girl was allegedly raped by her juvenile neighbour in a village under Kasna area of Greater Noida on Wednesday evening. A case was registered in night in which the victim's family members have named the accused. Police arrested the accused from a place in the same village on Thursday morning. The seven-year-old was medically examined and is stable, the police said. The 14-year-old accused has been sent to the juvenile home (rehabilitation centre).

“The juvenile accused was arrested from a friend's place at the same village where he was hiding. His house is right adjacent to the victim's and he called over to play with the victim on Wednesday evening and then sexually abused her. The accused has been charged under section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act,” said a senior police officer from Kasna police station.

According to the complaint, the accused took the girl to play at his home in the evening. When she didn't return back home after few hours, her mother went to his home to look for her child. She found the accused abusing her child sexually. The accused ran away from the spot after the mother started screaming.

After getting the word of the incident, police rushed to the spot and formed multiple teams to catch the boy and finally nabbed the juvenile from his friend's place.
