Monsoon is here to force you to pack up your bags and have a refreshing weekend. Here are some tips by Dheeraj Bhatia, co–founder of Gritstones.com, for clothes that can be essential for the trip:

If you are planning to go for a weekend trip, you need to pack the most in men’s category:

One should start with some cotton linen shirts or T - shirts for a cool look. Pairing it up with denim jackets will not only protect you from getting ill (if you are planning for a trip to a hill station) but will also add to the style quotient.

Denim jeans will be your best outfit for trekking or hiking as they give a sporty look and are comfortable to wear while travelling to adventurous places. If the weather is bit hot and humid, then one can go for cool, detailed shorts, camouflage cargos, Capri, chinos or 3/4th that are trendy, suave and comfortable.

Men’s preferred accessories that they comparable to take with them include to accessorize your clothes, do not forget to take the following things along with you: Hats and sunglasses: Take a hat to protect yourself from dust and sunshine. Wrist Watch: Watch is quite an essential accessory for the men as it imparts an intense look which is desired by every other guy these days. Duffel Bag: a spacious bag which is handy for a short trip is a must. Men’s scarf: Creating a suave, smooth yet casual and relaxed mood, scarves are brilliant for enhancing the neckline and framing the face.

For Women:

Women are so keen about planning and packing while going for a holiday that they get confused about what to pack and what not to.

Women essentials may sum up with 3 tops which includes one dressy, one 3/4 length and long sleeves

Experienced travellers try to bring things that go with any bottoms and upper wear. Neutral colours (black, navy, khaki) are the best options as they can be extremely versatile.

Two bottoms (one dressy, one casual) will be all for your weekend getaway. One must keep a pair of pants just in case the weather turns.

As far as the accessories are concerned, two scarves, a belt, junk jewellery and tote bags would be enough.

One is recommended to go on for trek with comfortable and well fitted pair of shoes in order to avoid sore feet.

Also keep an umbrella and raincoat handy to protect yourself from unwanted rain.
