Will build residential complexes and improve garbage disposal: YEIDA CEO

- RAHUL SINGH

NOIDA: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Friday said that they are more dedicated to develop the residential complex in various sectors that fall under the Yamuna Authority and is focusing on setting up a proper dedicated garbage center in all the residential sectors located along the 165-km long Yamuna Expressway.

“A proper compost garbage management system will be built in residential complexes of sector 18 and sector 20 that fall under the Yamuna Authority and are located along the Yamuna Expressway. We want to utilize the solid waste into organic to make it more worthy which can be used for various purposes. Apart from this we will also mark the informal area in each sector where one can easily get the daily need goods,” said Arun Vir Singh, Chief Executive Officer, YEIDA, in an exclusive interaction with Millennium Post.

After the Jewar airport project got the green signal from the Union civil aviation ministry, YEIDA hopes that demand for industrial schemes will increase. The authority has a vast potential to grow the industrial sector across the Yamuna Expressway. The Jewar airport will also attract small and large scale industries to be set up in the area for which the authority is seeking agriculture land from the farmers. As of now the authority has around 600 acres of agricultural land for industrial purpose.

Questioning about the development of the industrial sector, Singh said, “By the end of September this year we are planning to introduce several industrial plots of varying sizes to develop the industrial sectors. The rate for plot allotment and their size will be finalized later after discussing the requirement of the agencies. Apart from this we are also planning to develop the pharmacy hub in Sector 33 which is expected to create around 40,000 jobs. We will develop facilities in this sector as per their requirement”.

The loopholes in the construction of the Yamuna Expressway and the negligence of the concessionaire of the E-way, Jaypee group have been responsible for several deaths since it has been thrown open.

He also highlighted over speeding as the major cause of road accidents on the E-way since past many years and said, “We are making all possible efforts to curb on the over speeding vehicles. Working actively on the motive, we have already cancelled over 11,000 driving licenses. We have marked various lanes with the dedicated speed limit. Any violations of speed limit will be penalized and notices will be issued on their addresses along with their pictures. However there has been a decrease of over 30 per cent in the road accidents on the E-way in past few months”.
