Kejriwal visits his constituen­cy, promises play ground, gym

NEW DELHI: Responding to the requests of the residents, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited New Delhi Assembly Constituen­cy on Sunday and met the children, senior citizen and other residents.

In his 45 minutes visit, he asked the children if they get proper place to play or not. Children along with their parents complaint that due to a constructi­on work and its parking, the play ground is blocked. Kejriwal instructed the officials to shift the parking and review the constructi­on work.

“The parking will be shifted by Monday morning and no blockage of play ground will be allowed,” Kejriwal said. He also discussed the matter with the local officials and inquired about the constructi­on work.

“I have instructed the officials to review the matter and children should get the priority,” he said.

The CM met the senior citizens of the constituen­cy and listened to their issues. “Our government gives priority to the senior citizen and children. I promise that every issue they discussed with me will be solved,” he said.

The residents complaint about the increasing number of crimes in the locality and urged Kejriwal to install CCTV cameras in the area. After discussing the matter with the local officials, he assured that within two months, the locality will be under CCTV surveillan­ce.

“I have instructed the officials to let me know the expected amount we need to install CCTV. Within two months we will put cameras at every corners of the area,” he said.

The residents also complained about a gym which is non-functional for over a year which was inaugurate­d by the Delhi government. “This gym will start within two months and I will personally look into this case,” said Kejriwal.

He also visited a local temple, park and the residentia­l complexes of the area. Later, he visited Bawana to meet the residents with minister Satyendar Jain and other officials.
