“The implementation of the GST in its present form by the Modi government at the Centre has not only adversely affected the small and medium traders and the consumers, but also the common people,” said Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken.

He added that the small scale traders will now have to compete with Adanis and Ambanis.

“There is no similarity between the GST of the Congress and the GST of the BJP with multiple tax slabs, except the name GST,” Maken said.

He explained that due to GST, the treatments in hospitals and education will be costlier.

The timber vendors and other people came to the gathering and protested against GST. Congress supporters form various others parts of the city were also present in the rally.
