BEYOND THE CANVAS
When you meet someone who is passionate about something, it can be contagious, whether you like the subject or not. Following your passion is an art and more than that, daring to dream. KAD group invites all the dreamers in their upcoming exhibition, Abhivyakti,’ an expression beyond canvas, which will have at least 16 renowned artists displaying their work. RETURN TO ETERNITY
Finding the divinity as an abstract expression of time and space through a slowly blossoming Nritya sequence in teen tal, the event “Talaash –e – Haq” – a return to eternity by Jayashree Acharya will be presenting her new creative journey through her exponential hold over Kathak, Music and Poetry. She will be performing a dance recital over the confluence of Raag, Taal and Dance movements through a sargam in Raag Abhogi where she will be denoting it to Lord Krishna. HARVEST 2017
‘The songs of many streams as they flow,’ the theme for Harvest 2017 would be the longest running group show since 2001 curated by Suneet Chopra.the show will have masters, sculptors, tribal, and young artists. Harvest 2017 is a presentation of the state of our art today and is once again back which shows the trends in Indian contemporary art and has pieces from the best of Indian artists. CREATIONS OF JOY
An exhibition of paintings with natural dyes by Aruna Devi Tomar from Dehradun, Arcadia, emerged out of the fascination for colours. She says, “One day after plucking wilted flowers in the garden, I noticed my fingers were stained with brilliant red, pink and purple. I had always been fascinated by colours. Some people perceive world as forms some as splashes of colours. I am of the latter kind.” WHEN: August 2 – 8 WHERE: IIC TIMING: 11 am – 7 pm
