Ryan International School reopens amid security

- OUR CORRESPONDENT

GURUGRAM: Following large number of complaints that resulted in the closure of Ryan International School at Bhondsi on September 18, Gurugram district administration reopened it again with revamped security measures on Monday.

Communication with the parents and rectification of major security deficiencies resulted in presence of much larger number of students this time.

While most of the parents still expressed their nervousness and scepticism, they also highlighted that it was also important to make sure that their children’s education do not get compromised.

“We have been assured of safety of our children by the state officials. As they have shown the commitment to improve the situation even we should give them that amount of time to execute their plans. On my part as a concerned parent, I will also be vigilant of the security lapses and bring it to the notice of the concerned authorities,” said Swati Singh, one of the parents.

In order to enhance the safety measures, the management under the Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh has installed 40 CCTV cameras, replaced the security agency, recruited women bus conductors and built the boundary wall.

The new management has also taken cognisance of the lack of toilets for the staff employees and built a temporary washroom for them.

All the measures that have been adopted were recently communicated with the parents by the Deputy Commissioner in the special parent teacher meeting organised on September 23.

The educational institute has reopened at a time when the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over the case from Gurugram police and has begun their investigations.

Meanwhile, the reluctance of the school management to address the security lapses has increased the problem for Ryan Group of Institutions.
