Chief Minister gauges the mood of Gurugram at

GURUGRAM: Being Sunday and a Karva Chauth it could have been just another festive holiday for residents of Gurugram. Yet, rather than having a leisurely day, most of the residents came in huge numbers for the janta durbar where they registered the complaints one to one with Chief Minister ML Khattar.

The session provided the Chief Minister an opportunit­y to gauge the mood of the citizens of the richest district of Haryana. The recent civic elections had resulted in a major setback for his party as the councillor­s who fought on the party symbol won 14 out of 35 seats. of sub inspector rank as he refused to file an FIR over a complaint.

“We have suspended this official as he did not file an FIR over a complaint. It is not acceptable for a law enforcemen­t official to adopt a process of law just because he does not want the crime to be recorded in his area,” said the Chief Minister.

Taking note of other major issues plaguing the city, Khattar mentioned that Sushant Lok, the private colony that is major infrastruc­tural crisis will be soon taken over Municipal Corporatio­n of Gurugram. He also affirmed that the process of forming the RERA committee will be completed by the end of the month. GREATER NOIDA: A 30-year-old lady teacher allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling fan in her rented apartment on Saturday night.

The incident has been reported from Sector 12 in Noida, said police.

Police have also recovered a hand written suicide note from the spot.

According to police, the victim has been identified as Shweta, a native of Uttarakhan­d.

She had been living in the society since past one year and was earning livelihood by providing home tuitions to the students.

The woman was spotted hanging with the ceiling fan on Sunday morning. The main gate of her apartment was left open, said police.

“The body has been taken into custody and sent for the post mortem. She hailed from Dehradun district of Uttarakhan­d. The family members of the deceased have been informed,” said Rajeev Kumar Singh, circle officer-2, Noida.

“We are waiting for the post mortem reports which will help us to ascertain the actual reason behind her death.

“We have also found a suicide note from the spot and are investigat­ing the case covering all the possible angles,” added Singh.
