GURUGRAM DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION IMPOSES SECTION 144

GURUGRAM: The District administration on Wednesday imposed Section-144 and also began to take action against the unlicensed shops that sell fire crackers. The action comes after the Supreme Court order that imposed the ban on sale of fire crackers due to deadly levels of pollution in Delhi-ncr. There are, however, report that the black market of selling of firecrackers have increased in the outskirts of the city. “In terms of crisis we are expected to bring in the graded action system where major steps are going to be taken to tackle the crisis of emergency. Meanwhile, we are taking certain measure that can prevent the deterioration of air. I will urge the residents to minimise the use of crackers as that can go a long way to not worsen the air quality,” said Vinay Pratap Singh, Deputy Commisioner of Gurugram.
