Capturing the essence of nature

IT TAKES A MASTER craftsman to recognize the intricacies of the mind of the artist and draw the best out of it. Ruchi Singhal is one such enthusiast artist who has added elements into her art which probably only existed in the mind before putting brush to the canvas.

A solo exhibition “Mapping Nature Note’s” by Artist Ruchi Singhal is being held in the Visual Art Gallery of the India Habitat Centre from October 25 to 31. The show has been put together by curator Kiran K Mohan, a renowned connoisseur in the world of art.

Kiran K Mohan, curator of the show in her words says: “This art exhibition showcases artworks of a very gifted artist Ruchi Singhal and embraces the zeal to unravel the marvellous connect with nature. The rhythm is initiated by sheer research and execution to create contemporary forms that address the five elements of nature magnificently. In sync with these sensitivities of nature, the artist’s soul wanders along with all the five elements - earth, water, fire, air and space in harmony. The profound captures made by the use of varied mixed media, controlled spilling and flow of colours and tones, and skilful play with captivating textures in each of these artworks, defines a language of its own to communicate.” Born in New Delhi, Ruchi is a doctor by profession but there is no method to her madness on the canvas. Colours lead the way for her as she believes in borrowing liberally from nature, life and the world around. Ruchi’s huge canvases are now part of various well-known hotels and offices, and her works have been in private collections of art connoisseurs from United States, Singapore, and Dubai as well as in Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai. She says, “My entire day’s interaction with the patients and my dialogue of solace and encouraging words to them, is what kindles that ray of hope that I interpret and share through my works.”
