Killers of Ggn executive did shopping after murder

- PIYUSH OHRIE

GURUGRAM: Shocking details have emerged about the activities carried out by Sunil's killers after murdering him brutally. After committing the crime, the dreaded culprits rather than finding a hideout went to one of the prominent retail chains in the city and did shopping of Rs 8,000 which they had stolen from the ATM card of the deceased. Making sure that they were not tracked, the criminals very shrewdly shifted their places and from Gurugram they moved to Delhi and Noida.

Meanwhile, the Gurugram police in their investigation have begun to issue notice to various banks and retail chain so that the movement of the criminals can be tracked.

According to sources, this horrendous crime has been committed by organised group of criminals who had a planned modus operandi for committing the crimes.

27-year-old Sunil who was to attend a family ceremony in Haridwar was left with no choice but to avail the services of a cab that is shuttling at the heart of city centre. The car which he took had two people. After a while, he becames suspicious and texted the detail of the cab to his wife. An hour later he became untraceable. On Friday, his severed body was found in the jungles of Southwest Delhi and the robbers drew more than Rs 60,000 from his account. While the case has again raised the issues about security of commoners in Delhi –NCR, this trend is not unfamiliar especially in Gurugram.

In May this year, a Delhi based executive was abducted on Sohna road and taken to Rajasthan where on the way he was forced to make various transactions using the ATMS. His abductors who were later held did it so that he can get some money as they had lost the amount in betting. Even after arrests, the brazenness of these crimes did not cease and in October this year, a businessman along with his friend were kidnapped from Manesar. According to police, gangs from Mewat, Alwar, and Delhi carry out such acts in Gurugram so that they can get enough money.
