PINTO PLEA FOR FOREIGN TRAVEL: HIGH COURT SEEKS CBI REPLY

GURUGRAM: On a plea filed by Augustine Pinto, trustee of Ryan Internatio­nal School, the Punjab and Haryana high court has served notice to Central Bureau of Investigat­ion seeking its reply on the foreign travel of the petitioner from December 26 to January 5, 2018.

Following the order of the high court, the Supreme Court also granted the bail to Pintos. The high court had restrained Pinto from travelling outside the country without its permission while granting anticipato­ry bail in the Pradyuman Thakur murder case. Pinto has requested the court to grant him permission to travel to Dubai from December 26 to January 1.

On November 8, two months after the gruesome killing of 7-year-old Pradyuman in the washroom of Ryan Internatio­nal School, Bhondsi, CBI made a shocking revelation that a Class XI student was involved in the murder.

Earlier, the CBI had arrested 42-year-old bus conductor in the incident. He presently has been granted bail and is recuperati­ng from his illness.
