- ABHAY SINGH

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police on Wednesday constituted 15 teams to solve the case in which a burglary was reported from a cooperative bank in Mundka area on Monday. Police suspect there are high chances of insider involvement.

Police sources said they have not found any CCTV footage's of the burglary as the accused allegedly had taken the digital video recorder with them.

The wall, which was broken by the accused, was not a concrete wall, it was just brick wall which can be easily broken.

Police sources said the accused had planned the burglary perfectly and without the help of insider it cannot be possible.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Amit Sharma told Millennium Post that they have formed several teams which have been raiding in different areas.

‘'We have questioned sev- eral people and probing the case from all angles,” said Sharma.

The senior police official, however, refused to divulge details claiming that the investigation could be hampered.

The cooperative bank remained closed on Saturday and Sunday and there was no guard in these two days.

The incident came to light on Monday after the bank was opened and the officials made a PCR call to police.

A few officials of the bank been been grilled by police and their call records were checked. Police are also probing that how much cash and jewelry were taken by thieves.

“Burglars had entered the bank after drilling the wall and also they cut several lockers and taken the money,” said a police source. The CCTV, which was installed in the routes close to bank has been scanned.

“We have got some clues, we are working on it. The arrests will be made soon,” said a police officer claimed. GURUGRAM: Commuters using Golf Course Extension road had to face difficulties on Wednesday evening as the road was blocked by the relatives of the people who were arrested by the police.

The arrests were made after it was found that there was construction being undertaken by the villagers in a legally disputed land between the builder and the villagers.

This is not for the first time when such kinds of activities have resulted in extreme consequences. In June this year, hundreds of Ramgarh villagers in Badshahpur area Gurugram had clashed with the Gurugram Police, which resulted in several officers of Gurugram Police sustaining severe injuries.

Similarly in August, a group of villagers from Badshahpur had filed a complaint that the builder was trying to illegally capture their land.

Owing to inadequate compensation most of the projects in the city are stalled. NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday asked the Centre and the Delhi government to respond to an application filed by Congress leader Ajay Maken on the procurement of buses for public transport in the national Capital.

A bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar also asked the Delhi government to consider having multi-level parking lots for buses to minimise the need for land.

“You consider the aspect of multi-level parking and place it before the court before the next date of hearing on January 22,” the bench asked the counsel representing AAP government.

The high court's order came while hearing a plea filed by Ajay Maken, who was the transport minister in Delhi in the erstwhile Sheila Dikshit government.

Maken has approached the court seeking impleadment in a pending writ petition which had raised a similar issue.

The court allowed his plea in the pending PIL which has challenged the Aam Aadmi Party government's decision to procure more buses for the city to strengthen its public transport system in view of the toxic air over the region.
