NURSE, INFANT DAUGHTER FOUND hanging in east Delhi residence
NEW DELHI: The bodies of a 27-year-old nurse and her daughter were found hanging in their residence in east Delhi’s Madhu Vihar on Tuesday.
Police said they are investigating the incident, but have found no reasons yet to suspect any foul play.
The woman was identified as Yabreena, who worked as a nurse in a private hospital, while her daughter was oneand-a-half-year-old, cops said.
Yabreena’s husband works as a dealer of second-hand cars.
Police said the incident came to light on Tuesday, after Yabreena’s husband Abhi Kumar returned home from work.
He became suspicious after he knocked the door several times but Yabreena did not answer.
He immediately broke open the door, only to find his wife and daughter hanging from the ceiling fan in their bedroom.
Both the victims were rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead. A PCR call was made and a police team reached the spot and started their investigation at the spot. No suicide note was found, police said.
DCP (East) Omvir Singh said on Tuesday that they have not yet found any concrete reason behind the incident.
“From the neighbors, we came to know that there were some arguments between the husband and wife on Monday. We are probing into the matter,” said the DCP, adding that the husband is being questioned in this regard.
In a similar incident, a day before New Year, a couple and their son were found dead, while their daughter was found unconscious at their residence in Chawala area of Dwarka district.
Police said that the daughter was found to be alive and recuperating at a city hospital.
A suicide note found in their house stated no one was responsible for their deaths.
