‘Zero’: Aanand L Rai

-

MUMBAI: Director Aanand L Rai, who unveiled the title of his Shah Rukh Khan starrer today, says their film Zero celebrates the incompleteness in people.

SRK will be seen in an unusual avatar – that of a dwarf in the movie.

“I wanted to celebrate ‘Zero’, I wanted to celebrate the incompleteness in people. There is nothing great in being a complete person. There is a beauty to incompleteness. We all are humans and ‘Zero’ comes from there,” Rai says in an interview.

Rai says they are still in the middle of making the film but decided to unveil the title on popular demand as there was a lot of curiosity surrounding Shah Rukh’s role.

“Though we are one year away from the release, the film is already getting so much love. So Khan sahab and I decided to give something to fans. It is purely out of the love and affection that we are getting from the fans.”

“They (fans) are carrying an image in their mind and it is not exactly what we have in the film. When we were working on it we did not know it (dwarf part) will look this way. I want to replace that image with the right image. The film’s USP is Shah Rukh’s performance,” he says.

The film is set to be released on December 21 this year. Rai promised that they will keep sharing details about the film at regular intervals.

“There should be a synergy between the makers and the audience. I don’t want to create a gap. I need encouragement from the audience as you feel positive at work. It is very hectic but it is keeping us happy.”

The teaser starts with adjectives like ‘Paagal’ (mad), ‘Aashiq’, ‘Makaar’ (schemer), ‘Shayar’ (poet), which hints at the various shades of SRK’S part in the movie.

The film also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Russia, despite Russian President Vladimir Putin supporting the regime of Syrian counterpart Bashar al-assad in the ongoing civil war in the war-torn country.

Lorde was scheduled to perform for Tel Aviv Convention Centre on June 5 as a part of her 2018 world tour.

She announced her decision to cancel her show in the capital.

“I’ve received an overwhelming number of messages and letters and have had a lot of discussions with people holding many views, and I think the right decision at this time is to cancel the show.”

“I pride myself on being an informed young citizen, and I had done a lot of reading and sought a lot of opinions before deciding to book a show in Tel Aviv, but I’m not too proud to admit I didn’t make the right call on this one,” she had written. LOS ANGELES: Singer Carrie Underwood has said that she received over 40 stitches in her face after falling on the steps of her house in November. The 34-year-old singer had earlier said that she had broken her wrist after the fall. In a post to her fan club members, the singer revealed that the incident also caused severe cuts to her face, reported Entertainment Tonight. “There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up.” “It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life,” wrote Underwood. “In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike (Underwood’s husband) that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in,” she added.

The singer said the accident left her unable to perform at the Country Rising benefit show held at Nashville s Bridgestone Arena. “I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn’t much, much worse. And I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way,” Underwood wrote.
