No one will be allowed to disturb peace: Haryana CM
CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that everyone has a right to present his views in a democratic set up but no one will be allowed to disturb peace and law and order situation in the state.
He was responding to a query of mediapersons regarding proposed protest by Yashpal Malik group regarding reservation issue during his visit at Rohat chowk in Sonipat on Monday. He said all their demands were accepted and issue regarding withdrawal of cases was concerned with the court.
When his attention was drawn towards former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s statement that cases against him were filed under conspiracy, the Chief Minister referred to a Bhagwad Gita shaloka and added that ‘Jo Karega, So Bharega’ (As you sow so shall you reap).
In reply to another question, he said that land acquisition has been started for widening of National Highway-334 B.
The Chief Minister on Monday inspected the road on riverbed near Rohat chowk, the site of accident happened recently. He directed the concerned authorities to make the bridge constructed on Rohat Chowk in a straight line. He asked them to prepare a blue print of the road keeping in view all technical aspects for safety of people. He said that road safety is a very big and serious issue for the present state government.
The Chief Minister said that direction have also been issued for repair of road. In order to protect Kharkhoda village coming on this route, instructions have been given to make a divider on the road so as to provide security to the villagers from entry of trucks running on this route. This will prevent entry of trucks in villages. Apart from this, Rs 2 crore have been sanctioned for repair of canal route and work would be started very soon.

NEW DELHI: Amid an unease in its ties with the BJP, a delegation of TDP MPS, including Union ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju and YS Chowdary, on Mondy met Home Minister Rajnath Singh, leaders of the two parties said.
They said the meeting was an attempt to address the strain in ties after the TDP publicly voiced unhappiness over the Union budget not offering any special benefits to Andhra Pradesh. Though what transpired at the meeting was not immediately known, a TDP leader said talks were “helpful”.
Chowdary had yesterday played down speculation that TDP will break its alliance with the BJP. “As and when it is required, the chief minister and party chief will take the decision appropriately. As of today it (the alliance) is just going on. We never said (about snapping ties)...it’s all speculation,” he had said. NEW DELHI: Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri has said the larger goal of the Centre is to fulfil the housing need of homeless urban poor and enable them to own decent pucca houses by 2022.“Based on demand assessment at the state level, there is a need to construct about 12 million houses under economically weaker section/ low-income group segment of the society in order to achieve the goal of housing for all,” the minister at an event.
The minister said the government has made several efforts to create enabling environment and eco-system to promote affordable housing.
“The Centre has granted infrastructure status to affordable housing which will enable the projects to avail the associated benefits such as lower borrowing rates, tax concessions and increased flow of foreign and private capital,” Puri said.
Puri further informed that additional measures, such as the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA), Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS), the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Amendment Act 2016, higher tax breaks on home loans, GST, land-related reforms, etc have also been introduced. “These initiatives would be effective in spurring the housing and construction activities, providing...,” the minister said.
