Bodies of victims recovered from a vacant plot in Sector-7 area of Manesar Man beats wife to death over discord, then hangs himself
GURUGRAM: Another tragic incident has surfaced in Gurugram where the differences between husband and wife ultimately cost the life of the wife.
Three days after the violent murder in which a 28-year-old engineer bludgeoned his wife to death, this is another incident where a husband killed his wife in a fit of rage.
After murdering his wife, he too committed suicide by hanging himself.
Their bodies were recovered in a vacant plot in the Sector-7 area of Manesar.
According to the district police, the two belonged to West Bengal and were engaged in menial works.
The police informed that the couple had a two-year-old son who was being looked after at their home in West Bengal. Narrating the incident, sources in the police said that the couple used have frequent fights as the man would drink a lot.
On Sunday night, angered by frequent taunting the man hit his wife with an iron road and then subsequently committed suicide by hanging himself.
The two bodies recovered on Monday morning were sent for post mortem and the Gurugram police are trying to ascertain more detail about the deceased. “As of now, it seems to be another case of differences between the husband and the wife that ultimately resulted in a violent end. We are now trying to get more detail in the case so that the motive becomes clear,” said Inspector Ravinder Singh, spokesperson of Gurugram Police.
The incident follows the horrific case where a 24-year-old woman named Veera was brutally murdered after being hit several times with hammer and axe. Her murderer is suspected to be her husband Ashok who is absconding after the incident. The shocking incident occurred at Prem Puri area near Jharsa Road where the couple were staying in a rented accommodation along with their 2-year-old daughter.
The brutality of the incident came to be known in the morning by the nearby neighbours after they heard the cries of the two-year-old. After entering the house, they saw the body lying in a pool of blood along with sharp objects that were used in the crime.
