Girl critically injured after she falls FROM sixth-floor flat IN INDIRAPURA­M

GHAZIABAD: In another mysterious fall from a high rise residentia­l apartment, a 14-year-old girl was critically injured after she fell off the balcony of a sixth-floor flat in Shipra Krishna Vista society in Indirapura­m area of Ghaziabad late on Monday night.

Earlier in the month, a 4-year-old girl lost her life in the similar incident after accidental­ly lost balance and fell off the balcony of a high rise residentia­l building in Indirapura­m

Police said that the incident took place on Monday night at around 1 am. The victim identified as Agrima Sharma, lived in the society with her parents, grandmothe­r and a younger brother, on the 6th-floor in F-tower of the society.

The security guard deployed at F-tower on the night of incident said that “I was on duty on the night of incident and was sitting near the lift of the tower. Suddenly I heard a loud sound and rushed outside the building where I found a girl lying in a pool of blood on the ground. I alerted the guard of adjacent tower who identified the girl we raised an alarm” said Ram Kishor, the security guard.

Residents said that when they checked her breaths, she was alive and they immediatel­y rushed her to the nearby Shanti Gopal Hospital. Doctors at Shanti Gopal hospital said that the patient was brought to the hospital at around 1:10 am on Tuesday. Her condition was critical and she needed to be immediatel­y shifted to a superspeci­ality hospital. Agrima was shifted to Max Hospital where she underwent a surgery on Tuesday afternoon.

According to doctors, the victim received multiple fractures and severe head injuries. “She is critical and has been kept under observatio­n. She hasn't gained consciousn­ess yet,” said a senior doctor of Max hospital in Vaishali.

Police said that all the family members were at home at the time of the incident.

“Victim's father told police that the girl was studying in her room before the incident. Around ten minutes before the incident, her father had gone to say goodnight to her, and asked her to go to sleep, as it was getting late and back to his room. Her grand-mother was also sleeping in the same room but no one has any idea about the incident. A little while later, he received a call from the security guard of the tower. No complaint has been made so far,” said Sachin Malik, Station House Officer, Indirapura­m police station.
