Use No-trust debate against NDA Govt to hilt, Naidu tells his MPS

- DHIRENDRA KUMAR

NEW DELHI: As the pressure to allow discussion over No-Confidence Motion against the ruling government is mounting on Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu on Monday asked his party MPS to attend Parliament on Tuesday and actively participate in the noconfidence motion against the government. After holding a discussion with its party MPS through tele-conferencing, Naidu said, “There is a chance for a discussion on no-confidence based on a lottery or the one which was given early. You all must make the most of the opportunity.”

Meanwhile, CPI(M) leader in the Lok Sabha P Karunakaran submitted the notice to the Lok Sabha Secretariat and urged the Speaker to include the motion in the revised list of business for March 27 (Tues- day). According to the Left MPS, the notice is part of an Opposition strategy to step up pressure on the NDA government in the Lok Sabha.

In another related development, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has said that all of its Lok Sabha MPS would tender their resignations on the last day of the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament. The party has also appealed to state political rival TDP to join it in the mass resignation.

“Our all seven MPS in Lok Sabha would submit their resignations on the last day of the ongoing budget session, even if the schedule is advanced,” said the YSRCP in its official communiqué.
