SSC cheating racket: Four more persons arrested
Delhi Police on Monday said four persons have been arrested, in the course of their investigation of SSC cheating racket, which was busted last week from Timarpur area after the joined raid by the Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force and Delhi Police.
Sources claimed that the Crime Branch of Delhi Police had identified two laboratories from where the cheating took place.
Police said that the accused men were identified as Anup, Neeraj, Kushal Negi and Dured Ali.
They added that the accused provided internet connectivity to the computer, downloaded window sharing application and shared the password and helped the candidate in cheating.
Police claimed that Ali was the owner of the lab where the examination had happened and two labs were the cheating took place where situated in Badarpur and Okhla Industrial area.
Recently a gang of four persons was arrested. The gang started operating in 2011 they help candidates in cheating during the examination which was manual but with the time the gang found loopholes in online examination and helped candidates cheat in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) online exam by using remote access tool software like Team Viewer.
“This gang is alleged to have the network with the centers of the examination/computer labs across various cities. It has been further revealed that these labs are outsourced by the SSC for conducting the examination.
Harpal and other alleged persons are also running various labs in different parts of the city, which are further hired by the outsourced labs for conducting the examinations,” police said.
Police further claimed that it was found that the cheating racket is being run in a very organized manner. It was revealed that the prospective candidates were lured and amount to the tune of Rs fiveten lakh was being charged from each of them.
The gang used to further tie up with these candidates regarding their centers of examination.
