NEW DELHI: The body of a 25-year-old woman was found in central Delhi’s Daryaganj area on Monday morning, with her head crushed beyond recognition with a heavy rock said Delhi Police.

Cops suspect that the victim was murdered by the culprit with the rock, who immediately fled the scene of the crime.

Police said that they received a PCR call about a woman lying unconscious at Shantivan red light area, with blood flowing profusely out of her head.

When the police teams reached the spot and inspected the crime scene, they found that the woman was already dead. It seems that someone had crushed her head, maybe to distort her identity. However, police suspect that the woman was a vagabond and lived nearby.

The cops have now started to question other vagabonds in the area to get some clues about the woman and her murderer. The cops suspect that she was murdered at night and her body was left there by the murderer before fleeing.

The cops have registered a murder case and are investigating the incident. All CCTVS in the area are being scanned to get some clues of the murderer. The body has been sent for postmortem. GHAZIABAD: In yet another shocker, the Ghaziabad police has arrested a 35-year-old man on the charges of sexually abusing and allegedly trying to rape his 12-year-old daughter for the past few months in Vaishali area of Indirapuram in Ghaziabad.

The incident came to light following a complaint from the man’s wife.

According to the police, the complainant has alleged that her husband is a habitual drinker and has been sexually assaulting their daughter from the past few months.

The woman in her complaint said that her husband has been sexually assaulting their daughter while she is asleep and has been caught several times.

The woman had given him several warnings despite he had been doing such things repeatedly.

On Sunday also, the man in an inebriated state allegedly tried to force himself on the daughter and was caught redheaded by the victim’s mother.

“The woman caught her husband red-handed on Sunday and immediately raised an alarm. The man fled from the spot and following the act the victim’s mother filed a complaint against the man for allegedly raping the girl. Personnel from Kirti Nagar police station in West District have busted a gang of highway robbers active in the Delhi-ncr and recovered a loaded truck stashed with copper worth Rs 70 lakh. They also arrested four highway robbers identified as Ram Raj, Manoj, Vishal and Ajay.

The incident came to light on May 11 when a Rajasthan proprietor directed his driver Ram Raj to deliver copper loaded in a truck to Zakhira in Delhi.

Accordingly, Ram Raj left for Delhi. On May 12, at about 7:30 am, driver Ram Raj informed him that the truck was robbed on knifepoint by four armed robbers at Kirti Nagar after hitting him in the head.

He alleged that the robbers administered some substance on his face and he became unconscious. He later found himself in the forests of Narela. A PCR call was made which was first recorded at the Narela police station and later transferred to Kirti Nagar.

Later, the driver confessed to his involvement in the crime and revealed that he was part of the conspiracy hatched by the criminals to give the incident an impression of highway robbery. They even inflicted injuries in the head of the driver to give it a real look. The police investigation used a multi-dimensional scientific and psychological approach to demolish the defence of the accused.

A plan to apprehend other criminals was worked out and all the three co-accused who are dreaded highway robbers were caught from Sonipat. At the instance of the accused, precious copper metal worth Rs 80 lakh was recovered.
