JUVENILE SHOOTS AT CRIMINAL

NEW DELHI: The streets of Delhi on Tuesday witnessed a gang war in which a criminal was shot at by the juvenile member of the rival gang when he came out from the Tis Hazari Court. Police claimed that they have apprehende­d the juvenile.

According to police, one criminal identified as Dinesh Karala from village Karala and a close associate of wanted absconding gangster Jitender alias Gogi was brought to Tis Hazari Court from Rohtak Jail by Haryana Police for his production in an undertrial case under sections 392/411/482 of IPC in Ranhola police station. The incident took place just near the Gate No. 2 of the court premises when Dinesh was sitting in the Haryana police vehicle. He is admitted to the hospital.

"After production in the court, he was escorted back to jail van by Haryana police. When they reached near the jail van parked in Tis Hazari Court complex, suddenly one boy reached near Dinesh Karala and fired upon him with a country-made pistol, with the intention to eliminate him," said DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav. Karala sustained the injury on his elbow. The boy ran away from the spot. The police team apprehende­d the juvenile after a brief chase and with the help of the North District. The pistol used in the incident was also recovered from him.

The police further claimed that the shootout is the outcome of an old rivalry between Jitender Gogi gang and Sunil Tillu gang. Injured Karala is a member of Jitender gang and the juvenile is an active member of Sunil Tillu Gang. "The juvenile was assigned to eliminate Karala by Amit Dabang, an active member of Sunil aliastillu gang.
