ABDUCTED TECHIE RESCUED IN GZB

A man who did not want to take care of his 8-years-old step daughter and allegedly dumped her at a unknown place in Ghaziabad, in order to get rid of her, has been arrested by Gautam Buddh Nagar police on Friday morning.

Police said that they have rescued the child and sent the accused to jail. The accused has been identified as Lokender (35), a bank agent, who allegedly dumped his stepdaught­er at Sihani Gate in Ghaziabad and later informed the police about her abduction.

The man lived in Kasna area of Greater Noida.

“On Thursday night, accused Lokendra made a PCR call and informed police about the abduction his stepdaught­er. We launched an investigat­ion into the matter and upon initial investigat­ion, it came to forth that she was last seen with Lokender” said Shalendra Partap Singh, Station House Officer of Kasna Police station.

Police said that the man dumped the girl in order to get rid of her responsibi­lities.

“We apprehende­d the family members of the girl and during interrogat­ion, it came to light that Lokender was unable to cope up with the upbringing of his stepdaught­er. During sustained interrogat­ion, he broke down and confessed to the crime and stated that on Thursday after noon he took the daughter to Ghaziabad area and left her alone. Later at night, he called the police,” added Singh.

Police said that the accused, 35-yearold Lokender, had abandoned the girl to get rid of her responsibi­lities
