A THREE DAY INTERIOR LOOK OUT IN DELHI
After the four successful attempts of the home fashion business exhibition, Heimtextil India and Ambiente India marked the beginning of their fifth colocated exhibition at Pragati Maidan on June 27.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs, India; the three-day exhibition was inaugurated by Ajay Tamta, Minister of State for Textiles, Government of India along with Raj Manek, Executive Director of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding Ltd, Shantmanu, (IAS) Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles and the other dignitaries present at the ceremony.
With the participation of more than 150 top manufacturers and suppliers of the home textiles and interior industry from India, China, Indonesia, Switzerland and Thailand – the exhibition is ready to showcase the newly launched products of the start-ups and the reputed companies like D’decor, Reliance, Aditya Birla etc.
Besides giving business opportunities to all the small and big companies, the fair will be the ideal forum arraying the plethora of modern designs, decor themes, art, colour trends and unique ideas.
Speaking at the inauguration, Ajay Tamta said: “I’m glad to be present here at the inauguration of the 5th edition of Heimtextil and Ambiente India trade fairs. It’s an honour for Indian handlooms and textiles to be presented here and I’d like to congratulate Messe Frankfurt for this initiative.”
“India has been a part of this global event since the past editions and I also got a chance to attend it in Germany. It has been creating job opportunities for small-scale handloom and textile artists. This yearly event also gives a push to Indian economy – both for handlooms and handicrafts industry,” he further added.
Welcoming the exhibitors and the guests, Raj Mane said, “Every edition of the co-located show has successfully managed to curate exclusive programmes for the benefit of its buyers and exhibitors. Along with a host of new displays, zones and insightful sessions, this edition has a specially designed pavilion by ‘Cohands’ that will display India’s legacy in art and design by highly acclaimed National Awardees.”
After lighting the lamp and following the welcoming ceremony, all the esteemed guests along with the Minister of State for Textiles proceeded for a guided tour on the site. The Minister and the other guests visited the stall setups and interacted with the participants about their product and experience in the industry.
The exhibition will give the exposure from various experience zones to informative panel discussions with famed International speakers like French designer, David Landart and Finnish designer Susanna Björklund on luxury living.
Heimtextil India and Ambiente India 2018 will fill the participants with insightful business knowledge, current and future trends of home fashion craft, and innovative solutions in the interior décor and textile sectors.
The exhibition is strongly supported by government and industry associations like Ministry of Textiles, Government of India,
Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, Royal Thai Embassy, Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP), Buying Agents Association (BAA), Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID), Guild of Designers & Artists (GDA), Hospitality Purchase Managers Forum (HPMF), Home Textile Association (HTA) and All India Wallpaper Covering Association (AIWA). The exhibition will be open until June 29.
