CM Kejriwal meets representatives of RWAS and Market Associations
Gearing up to begin the CCTV camera installation across the national capital, the Aam Aadmi Party government on Sunday held a meeting with RWAS and market associations and discussed various aspects associated with it.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has interacted with representatives of RWAS and Market Associations over installation of CCTV Cameras at Indira gandhi Indoor Stadium. On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, PWD Minister Satyendar Jain and MLAS were also present.
According to chief Minister Kejriwal planning, the CCTV cameras will cover all RWAS and market associations of Delhi. During the discus- sion, it has been decided that cameras shall be with 4 Megapixel Infrared with day/night vision availability. The government has decided that the local view at each colony shall be through mobile app, and the server and cameras shall be connected over 4G/3G/2G/ GPRS. Approximately 2,000 cameras per assembly constituency in all 70 constituencies of Delhi will be installed, government said.
Further it was noted that the video storage shall be provided by contractor to department/police/court on demand. Also, SMS & email facility for any kind of fault and alarm to five designated persons, that includes, RWA President/secretary/local police/pwd engineer/agency will be ensured. Meanwhile, during the discussion, it was also noted that the NVR box will be placed to connect one to four cameras around a location. AC power supply to UPS and NVR box will be from any of the resident nearer to the unit. Delhi government will bear the monthly electricity charges, the government spokesperson said.
“NVR box will store 30 days of recording at full High Definition (HD) of all cameras connected to it. The recording will be done at 25 FPS on same resolution as CCTV camera. Connectivity to local Rwa/market Association server from camera will be established using a Wi Fi zone/gsm (anywhere in the presence of internet, even from office),” he added.
After expiry of one year of satisfactory warranty service, the vendor has to undertake Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) for the second, third fourth and fifth year of the installation, the AAP government informant of RWAS and market associations at the meeting. The CAMC will include visits, repairs and replacements of defective parts or assemblies to put the system in operation. All complaints shall be attended as per the SLA. CAMC charges will be made at the end of each quarter and not in advance, residents told.
