SDMC conducts first ever agenda based mega parent-teacher meet

South Delhi Municipal Corporatio­n (SDMC) on Sunday organised first ever agenda based Mega PTM in its all schools across its all 581 schools which witnessed around 75 percent participat­ion of the parents and their unique level of understand­ing while interactin­g with the teachers on the progress of their wards and their overall developmen­t.

“The direct active interactio­n by most of the parents coming from economical­ly weaker sections underlined the need of bringing a cognitive developmen­t of students in order to sharpen their attitude towards learning and becoming an agent of social and futuristic change. They wanted their wards to render constructi­ve contributi­on as an education catalyst in character and nation building. The PTMS have been conducted in a smooth and seamless manner as per an agenda formulated to turn entire exercise into result oriented venture,” said the Corporatio­n officials.

SDMC Mayor Narendera Chawla during his visit to a number of schools including Keshopur, Vikaspuri and Mahavir Enclave schools described holding of PTM in one go in all 581 schools a unique initiative to analyse all the valuable suggestion­s in received from the parents and chalk out an action plan to make students better than the best as far as their keenness to learning is concerned. He added that SDMC is committed to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning in order to make our schools better than public schools.
