- ABHAY SINGH

NEW DELHI: Adding more to ground policing, the Delhi Police is working on the online feedback system for police assistance (PA 100) so that the public feel more comfortable to share their experience regarding the response of the police.

The law enforcement agency has also done a few trails where the callers were happy with PCR response.

The city police are currently working on digital feedback system which will be more convenient and more accessible.

During the trial run, Delhi Police had sent URL link to distressed caller in the SMS along with the details of PCR Petrol Vehicle dispatched to attend the distress call.

A feedback page is opened as soon as the user clicks the URL link provided in the SMS. The distressed caller can fill the digital feedback form and grade the police assistance in terms of excellent, good,or can be improved. The user can give his/her comments and suggestions through the feedback form. “Caller feedback will help the city police to improve and upgrade the response and assistance of PCR and MPVS,” added the source.

There are 18 types of calls for feedback which includes murder, eve teasing, terrorist attack, rape, communal riots, a major fire and other street crimes. The feedback form has five questions ranging from the behaviour of the police to open ended suggestions. The police have tried the initiative on few callers in which 45.63 per cent rated the categories of police response, behaviour, patience shown and quick response as excellent whereas 30 per cent found it good and 23.75 per cent people found the need of further improvement.
