Traffic restrictions today

NEW DELHI: The national capital on Friday will see restrictions on 25 roads for the last rites of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The police have also heightened their security arrangement for the state function. Delhi Traffic Police advisory claimed that owing to the important function, an elaborate traffic arrangement will be in place to facilitate the movements of commuters and the general public.

As per advisory, the restriction will start at 8 am onwards from Krishna Memon Marg, Sunheri Marg, Tughlak Road, Akbar road, Tees January Marg, Janpath from Claridge hotel to Windsor Place, Man Singh Road, C-hexagon from Shahjahan road to Tilak Marg, Rajpath from Mansingh Road to C-hexa- gon, Ashok Road from Windsor Place to C-hexagon, KG Marg from Feroz Shah Road to C-hexagon, copernicus Marg from Mandi House to C-hexagon, Shahjahan Road, Zakir Hussain Marg from SBM to India Gate, Tilak Marg from C-hexagon to Tilak Bridge, Bhagwan Dass Road, Sikandra Road, Mathura Road from Bhairon Mar gT point to W point, BSZ Marg from Tilak Bridge to Delhi Gate, IP Marg, DDU Marg, JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate, Ring Road from IGI Stadium T Point to Yamuna Bazar, Netaji Subhash Marg from Delhi Gate to Chhatta Rail and Nishad Raj Marg from Netaji Subhash Marg to Shantivan.

“Traffic would not be permitted on lower Ring Road from ISBT Kashmere Gate towards Shantivan and from IP flyover towards Rajghat,” said police officer.
