One more arrested in Narela cash van loot and murder

NEW DELHI: Special Cell of Delhi police has arrested a notorious and desperate criminal Jitender alias Jeetu, 29, a resident of Narela, Delhi. He was wanted in several cases of murder and robbery in Delhi and NCR including the sensationa­l case of cash van robbery cum double murder case of Narela, Delhi.

One sophistica­ted pistol along with five live bullets has been recovered from him. One Apache motorcycle purchased from looted money has also been recovered from him.

A cash van robbery on April 26 took place near DSIDC Vardhman Mall in the area of Narela, Delhi. In the crime 3 bike-borne robbers robbed the cash van of SIS Prosegur Company after shooting the gunman and cashier of the company.

The employees of the company had come to collect the cash from DSIDC Narela. As soon as they collected the cash from a wine shop in Vardhman Mall, 3 persons came riding a motorcycle and shot indiscrimi­nately at the cashier and the gunmen of the company and decamped with cash approximat­ely

Rs 12 lakh.

Both the employees died of gunshot injuries. A team of Special Cell led by Inspector P C Yadav and Sanjeev Kumar was deputed to work out their robberies. The team worked hard and on May 2, one Bharat Bhushan alias Tony was arrested, after a brief encounter.

His associates Deepak and Vikas were also arrested by the said team. However accused Jitender alias Jeetu was absconding. Looking in to his criminal activities a cash reward of one lakh was declared by Commission­er of Police, Delhi for his arrest. He was arrested on August 11 aafter cops laid a trap in Narela.
