Three more dogs found dead in Dwarka sector 19
NEW DELHI: It seems that Dwarka district is dealing with the cases of animal deaths as three more dogs were found dead in Dwarka district area. Police claimed that they are investigating the case from all angles including poisoning. On Monday, seven dogs were found dead in a housing society in Dwarka Sector 23 whereas in July more than thirty cows died at a cowshed in the Najafgarh area.
Police sources claimed that at 11:25 am a PCR call was received at the police station in Sector 23 Dwarka regarding the death of dogs by giving them poison. On inquiry, three dogs, aged about one year, were found in an unconscious state at the apartment in Sector-19 Dwarka. One was found in the park and two were on the street. “All the animals were brought to Dabri Veterinary Hospital by hiring a private vehicle as veterinary van was not available. But Dabri Veterinary Hospital was found to be closed due to the holiday,” said police sources adding that the animals were sent to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Raja Garden. Police claimed that the veterinary doctor has declared the dogs dead and the postmortem is being conducted. The preliminary inquiry into the matter is in progress. The case is being probed from every angle including poisoning or personal enmity with the dog lover or the involvement of a psycho killer.
In the death of seven dogs which was reported on Monday, the investigating agency claimed that in postmortem report, the doctor has indicated the reason for death as respiratory arrest due to hypodermic shock.
External lacerated injury (multiple injury marks) around the abdominal region including the neck were found.
