Man kidnapped, killed for money

NEW DELHI: In a daring incident, a man was kidnapped from Singhlapur Village at Shalimar Bagh and was brutally beaten to death by the accused and his accomplice in North West Delhi. The man, Moti Lal, was abducted from his home in Shalimar Bagh after beating his wife at around 10:30 pm on 20 August. The panicked wife soon gave a police call but by then the three men had kidnapped her husband and fled the spot.

Soon, the Delhi police team visited the spot and recorded the statement of the victim's wife. The wife of the victim knew the attackers and recognised them as Vicky and his associates. Soon, the cops had their leads and tea were formed in search of the victim Moti Lal and his kidnappers as identified by the wife of Moti Lal. An FIR has also registered against the accused and the search operation was initiated.

The police received informatio­n that the accused have travelled to Bahadurgar­h along with the kidnapped man Moti Lal. A search of accused Vikram alias Vicky, a resident of Bahadurgar­h, Haryana, was made but he was absconding that day. His car was seized from his home. The other accused has been identified as Ravi alias Nikki from Village Mundhela Khurda, Delhi is also absconding.

The team searched for the kidnapped man Moti Lal but the body of the kidnapped man was found next day morning in Bahadurgar­h. The body was then sent for postmortem and a case of murder was registered at the Sadar police station of Bahadurgar­h. The investigat­ion revealed that they had a fight on August 10 on some monetary disputes. “Main accused Vicky has been arrested along with his uncle Rajesh and the car has been seized,” said DCP North West Aslam Khan.
