Illegal structure at ADM’S house razed

NOIDA: Acting on a high-profile matter, the Noida authority on Thursday demolished the illegal construction done by the additional district magistrate (Muzzafarnagar) at his house in Sector 29 of Noida. This was the same house which triggered the fight between a retired colonel and the ADM couple of days back.

According to police, the ADM and his wife are still on the run after the 76-year-old colonel who was arrested on alleged charges of molestation levelled by the ADM Harish Chandra's wife following a spat between the two sides over alleged illegal construction by the ADM'S family, filed a cross FIR.

Noida Authority's senior officials said that the retired colonel Virender Chauhan had made the complaint about the illegal structure to Noida Authority several times.

The beat officer concerned with the illegal construction said that ADM made an illegal balcony and he also converted the garage into a proper room with a toilet and a water tank above it. They removed the illegal structure at ADM'S residence after getting the permission from the senior officials.

The colonel was arrested on August 14 and sent to jail on the basis of a complaint filed by the wife of the ADM.

An FIR was registered under various IPC sections and sections of SC/ST prevention of atrocities act. After that, ex-army officer's family complained to the district magistrate. The DM ordered the police to register FIR against the ADM and his wife. On August 19, Noida police arrested the ADM'S gunner Rahul Nagar (28) and his household help Jitendra Awasthi (26).
