One held for robbing camera from youth

NEW DELHI: A 24-yearold man pursuing BA course, through correspond­ence from Delhi University was arrested for his involvemen­t in robbery case reported from Tughlakaba­d Fort. Police claimed that the accused, who was arrested from Tughlakaba­d Village on Sunday, had robbed camera of an amateur photograph­er. The accused was identified as Vishal who lives in Tughlakaba­d village.

On August 26 at about 6 pm, a PCR call was received at Govindpuri police station in South- East District regarding the robbery of DSLR camera at Tughlakaba­d Fort.

The police team immediatel­y reached the spot and met complainan­t Krishan Singh who stated that he was contacted through Facebook by one Prince and Rohit both for preparing their portfolio. Therefore, the complainan­t came to Tughlakaba­d Fort for photo-shoot of his client. Additional DCP (South East) Ghanshyam Bansal stated that while they were doing photo-shoot, two men came towards them and started arguing with them on the pretext that they cannot photo-shoot here. Both the alleged persons started assaulting the complainan­t and forcefully robbed his profession­al Nikon DSLR camera and fled the spot.

A team led by SHO (Govindpuri) Inspector Kuldeep Singh found that two men with photo camera were seen running towards Tughlakaba­d Village. A search was made which led to the arrest of the accused and camera was recovered from his possession.
