‘I DIDN’T MAKE WRONG CHOICES IN MY CAREER’

Though his films including Faltu and Youngistaan fared decently well at box office, Jackky couldn’t get the opportunities he was looking for

Jackky Bhagnani’s career graph has seen more lows than highs, yet the actor remained true to his work without losing hope. Even though movies like Youngistaan, Faltu and Rangrez fared decently at the box office, it didn’t open doors for him.

But who is to be blamed for the wrong choices made at the start of his career?

Jackky feels it was just the matter of time. “I don’t blame anyone; not even myself, because I did what I felt was right at that point in time. I will give you an example. I did

Faaltu which was appreciated by a large section of people. Any general person would think that this success will translate into growth, but it didn’t happen. Thereafter, I did films like Rangrez and Youngistan which were equally applauded by people but that didn’t help me either. So, just because the film’s success didn’t boost my career, it cannot be called a bad decision,” said Jackky.

“I really don’t know what to say when people come up with such questions. What I know is the audience is always right and if people liked those films, it was absolutely a right choice. Moreover, there is a long way to go and I need to learn a lot more. I still have to figure out what to do or how to better my craft. And I will keep working hard,” added Jackky who is gearing up for his comeback with National award winner Nitin Kakkar’s upcoming film Mitro.

Set in a Gujarat town, tells a true story of friendship in a most hilarious way. Essaying the role of a Gujarati was challenging for Jackky but a teacher like Nitin made things easier. “He pushed me as an actor. I wanted someone to believe in me and help me improve. Sometimes you are looking for answers like ‘why do I have to give a retake’, ‘what’s going wrong’. And Nitin sir had answers to all my questions. I believe that made me a better actor. It was a great learning curve. He is a genius,” gushed Jackky who hopes to work with Rajkumar Hirani someday. Mitron
