No power in Ggn govt hospital for over 12 hours

- OUR CORRESPONDENT

GURUGRAM: The pathetic state of health care system and

lackadaisical approach of officials came to the fore after the Civil hospital in Sector -10 was without power for 12 hours. Even the life support system machines was without power.

Though, the government hospital in Sector-10 does not get as many patients like in Sadar, there are still a sizeable amount of patients who come to the hospital which was set up to reduce the burden. On Monday from 11:00 am to 12:00 am the power connection went off.

Owing to the maintenance issues and poor infrastructure,

long hours of power cuts is a regular feature in Gurugram.

For many patients, how- ever, it was an infuriating experience as for long there were no corrective measures taken by the officials. There were also reports that some of the patients were seen by the doctors in the candlelight.

“Who should we complain to? There is no one over here to listen our complaints. Ultimately we are waiting for the situation to improve so that the doctors can resume their work,” said Sunita Devi, one of the patients' kin.

There were also complaints that seeing the frustration and anger among the patients, most of the doctors and administrative officials left the hospital.

This is not for the first time when power has gone off for a long duration in government hospital of Haryana.
