ON THE SPECIAL occasion of World Tourism Day, Manish Sisodia, Dy Chief Minister, Govt of Delhi, inaugurated the auditorium at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri in the presence of Rajesh Rishi along Jarnail Singh and other senior officials of the government. This year’s theme ‘Tourism and the Digital Transformation’ is based on how digital technologies are disrupting the sector. The auditorium embodies these digital developments with state of the art facilities and techniques to create the best virtual experience for the visitors. With a seating capacity of 800 people, the auditorium is one of the biggest hall spaces available in West Delhi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dy CM stated, “It is a matter of pride for us to present this state of art auditorium to the citizens of Delhi. While there are so many artists and art lovers in Delhi, there is a real issue of good venues. Delhi hosts some of the best artists in the country, they deserve the best facilities. Many

of the existing venues remain in Lutyens Delhi. The Delhi Government is serious about the role of art and culture in shaping the society. We hope to expand the cultural scene and develop art centres like this in different parts of the city.”

The inauguration was followed by a soulful performance by Satinder Sartaaj, famous Punjab Sufi singer that left the audience mesmerized.
