Honda City goes up in flames

GURUGRAM: Reckless driving and overspeedi­ng resulted in yet another tragic end in Gurugram. A man was charred inside a Honda City car after it met with an accident and the car burst into flames near Kundali-manesar-palwal (Expressway), Farukhnaga­r on the outskirts of Gurugram. The driver of the vehicle was however saved in the incident as he quickly came out of the vehicle. He is presently being treated in the hospital.

Meanwhile, the police now trying to identify the body of the person charred in the incident.

GURUGRAM: Over-speeding and reckless driving led to another tragic accident, after a man was charred to death as his car fell off the road near the Kundli-manesar-palwal Expressway and burst into flames at Gurugram’s Farrukhnag­ar on Thursday afternoon.

According to the law enforcemen­t officials, the Honda City car was travelling at a very high speed, when it suddenly rammed into a barricade, tumbled off the road and caught fire.

The impact of the crash was so severe that within minutes, the car went into flames and there was no chance that passersby could rescue the man stuck inside.

In a similar incident in August, a woman engineer working in Google and her male friend working as a marketing executive in Royal Enfield were killed after the motorcycle they were on crashed into a divider at the Genpact Chowk on Golf Course road. The deceased had been identified as Kevin Martin and Anvita Kant.

At the time of the crash, the bike was being driven at a speed of 150 km per hour.

More than technical faults, lives are lost in road mishaps in Gurugram due to carelessne­ss of the drivers. According to the senior official from Gurugram Traffic Police, more than 60 per cent of the deadly accidents are caused to over-speeding.
