Reviving old forms of art
Delhi Collage of Art is going to organise the ‘17th Collage Annual Art Carnival’ from May 21 to 27, 2019. The exhibition which will showcase 400 artworks by 150 students, will be held at 1 to 9 Galleries, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi.
Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known. And, the transmission of feelings an artist has. Following the same theory, 17th Collage Annual Art Carnival is an initiative by the students of the institution to revive the old form of art, which has somewhere lost its sheen. Different versions of old classic touch will be visible in the paintings with the use of oil paintings, watercolours, charcoal, acrylic, a different type of surfaces and installations, etc.
All the works will be available on affordable prices.
Some eminent artists including Ravindra Verma,
Sneh Bhasin, Amit Dutt, Shyam Prasad, Amar Gosin, Ajit Kumar, to name a few will also be present at the inauguration ceremony on May 21.
Talking about the exhibition, Ashwani Kumar Prithviwasi, Founder and Director, Delhi Collage of Art says, “With this 17th Collage Annual Art Carnival, Delhi Collage of Art would take upon itself the responsibility of providing the opportunities to groom each student, build their personality and help them travel well.”
“The institute also looks forward to nurturing and transforming the student to an artist who not only wields a brush but painting with his or her heart and soul,” he adds.
