Tutor murdered student after she pressurise­d him to marry

NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old tutor has been arrested for murdeing his student after she pressurise­d him to mary her. The incident was reported from North east Delhi's Karawal Nagar.

The man identified as Nasuhad murdered the girl, packed the body into a sack and later dumped it into a drain in Karawal nagar. The police have also arrested Naushad's brother-inlaw Raziq for helping in disposing of the body.

The girl went missing from her home on September 26 and the family raised suspicion on the tutor. The highly decomposed body was found 3 days later in a drain in Karawal nagar. The family of the girl later recognised the dead body as their 26-year-old missing daughter.

During interrogat­ion, it was revealed that the accused Naushad Ali used to give tuitions to the students from 8th to 12th class. Deceased came into his contact while she was taking tuition from him. They knew each other since long. When deceased asked him to marry her, he planned to get rid of her. Accused Naushad Ali took help of his brother-in-law Raziq in disposing of the dead body of deceased.

The accused was interrogat­ed. He confessed that he committed crime on September 26 at his home as he wanted to get rid of her. Deceased and accused Naushad knew each other since long and deceased was pressurisi­ng him for marriage. Naushad put the dead body in a jute bag and with the help of his brother-in law Razik, he dumped the body in Ganda Nala, Karawal Nagar, Delhi. Both the accused persons have been arrested and vehicle used in the crime was also recovered from their instance,” said Ved Prakash Surya, DCP, North East.
