STOLEN JEWELLERY WORTH RS 30L RECOVERED, 2 BURGLARS HELD

NEW DELHI: Delhi police arrested two burglars who stole jewellery worth 30 lakh from the house of a victim in Rana Pratap Bagh in North West Delhi on October 8.

During the investigat­ion of the case, a team headed by SHO Bharat Nagar under the close supervisio­n of ACP Ashok Vihar was constitute­d.

During the investigat­ion, all CCTV'S cameras installed in the vicinity of the area were checked and technical surveillan­ce was made.

From the analysis of CCTV footage, one accused person was found coming towards the house who was identified as Rahul, a resident of Kabir Nagar, Rana Pratap Bagh.

The police team received informatio­n that accused Rahul has given some stolen jewellery items to one Ayub.

During the course of the investigat­ion, co-accused, Ayub was apprehende­d by the team and the stolen jewellery was recovered from his possession.

He was arrested by the team and during sustained interrogat­ion, he disclosed that accused Rahul has committed the above said burglary and he gave the stolen jewellery items (gold) to him for disposing off the same.

Later on, accused Rahul was also arrested from DESU Colony (Near Ganda Nala), Rana Pratap Bagh, Delhi and stolen cash of Rs 30,000 and some jewellery items (Diamond) were also recovered from his possession/instance.

Further investigat­ion of the case is under progress. With the arrest of above said accused persons, the total stolen jewellery items of Rs 30 lakh and cash of Rs 30,000 has been recovered.
