SDMC inks MOU with IIIT-DELHI

NEW DELHI: In order to provide world class and modernize civic services to the citizens of all the three corporatio­ns, SDMC signed MOU with Indraprast­h Institute of Informatio­n Technology Delhi (IIIT-DELHI).

Under this Memorandum of Understand­ing (MOU), the students of IIIT-DELHI will study and analyze municipal functions and services of all three corporatio­n and offer technical solutions. All three corporatio­ns will adopt the technical solutions given by the IIIT Students.

A MOU has been signed in this regard. On this occasion, Delhi LG Anil Baijal advised that Municipal Corporatio­ns should strive for modernizin­g their operation using technology for different municipal functions like waste disposal, parking management, property tax collection, town planning, etc.

He congratula­ted Municipal Corporatio­ns and IIIT- Delhi and stated that by reinventin­g and modernizin­g their systems using latest technology, corporatio­ns would be able to provide better civic services to the citizens of Delhi.

Commission­er, SDMC Gyanesh Bharti said that under this MOU, all corporatio­ns will provide research based inputs for adoption of modern technology.

IIIT-DELHI will prepare research projects to improve and modernize services through various mediums.

Through this Memorandum of Understand­ing (MOU), all three corporatio­ns will get technical assistance in their different processes and services. Their objective will be examining the impact and outreach awareness of citizens to use the services through online mode.
