FARIDABAD: Just like Gurugram, Faridabad Vidhan sabha constituency also, by and large, voted for BJP. In what can, however, turn out to be a disappointment for the saffron party, the win was not as overwhelming as was expected.

While in urban areas the BJP candidate won with a large voting percentage, in rural areas Indian National Congress and independent candidates defeated their competitor from the saffron party through narrow margins. In Faridabad seat, Narendra Gupta from BJP won over INC Lakhan Singla by a margin of over 21,000 votes. Gupta was able to secure a voting percentage of 54 so, on the other hand, the Congress candidate was able to get a voting percentage of 36.4.

BJP also had a reason to rejoice from the results of Ballabhgarh where it's candidate Mool Chand Sharma also secured a win with a thumping majority of 54 voting percentage. His nearest rival Anand Kaushik could only secure 20 percent vote.

The INC was able to narrow its losses by winning the Faridabad NIT seat where Neeraj Sharma of Congress was able to win over BJP'S Nagender Bhadana by a margin of just 3,000 votes.

In Prithla seat, Nayan Pal Rawat who fought an independent candidate after being denied ticket by the BJP, won with the margin voting percentage of 43 Raghubir Tewati of Congress came in a distant second.

Hathin where the maximum voting this time took place was narrowly won by BJP'S Praven Dagar by a margin of 3000 votes over Congress party's Mohamad Israil.similarly in Hodal Jagdish Nayar of BJP was able to win over INC'S Uday Bhan by a margin of just 2000 votes.

The similar situation was faced by BJP' Seema Trikha in Badhkal constituency who won over Vijay Pratap Singh of Congress by less than 2000 votes. Interestingly Badhkal was a seat which had the lowest polling figures in Faridabad seat.
