Drunk man driving BMW stops to urinate, miscreants flee with CAR

NOIDA: Some unidentifi­ed miscreants allegedly fled away with a BMW car after the man driving it pulled up to urinate in sector 90 area. Police suspected involvemen­t of some known persons to victim behind the incident.

As per police, the victim has been identified as Rishabh Arora, a native of Amritsar in Punjab, and presently living at Paras Tiera society in Sector 135 of Noida. “Arora works as stock broker while the BMW car involved in the incident was owned by Arora’s brother-inlaw,” said police.

Harish Chander, Deputy Commission­er of Police (ZoneII), Gautam Buddh Nagar told Millennium Post that Arora was returning from a party when the incident occurred. “Preliminar­y investigat­ions revealed that Arora who was returning from a late night party was drunk at the time of the incident. He had stopped his car to use a toilet in sector 90 area when a few unidentifi­ed criminals intercepte­d him and robbed his car,” said Chander.

Police have suspected involvemen­t of some known persons into the incident. “Following the complaint received, we have registered an FIR under section 392 (punishment for robbery) against unidentifi­ed persons. Prima Facie it appears that a few known persons to the victim might have followed him before committing the crime. We are questionin­g the victim to get some leads and are also looking into CCTV footage of nearby area. Soon we expect a breakthrou­gh into the case,” the officer added.
