THREE TEST POSITIVE IN NOIDA

NOIDA: Three persons, all residents of two separate housing societies in Noida and Greater Noida, have tested positive with Covid-19 taking the total number of persons suffering from novel Coronaviru­s to 11 in Gautam Buddh Nagar district.

As per health officials, one among the three patients is a 47-years-old woman who has no travel history. “The patient had no travel history but her husband was in regular contact with a man from London at his office. However, the foreign national was also tested and reports came out to be negative. It is not clear how the woman got affected with the virus,” Dr. Anurag Bhargav, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Gautam Buddh Nagar told the Millennium Post.

The officer further said that her husband and daughter are also being tested and are kept under surveillan­ce. “The woman showed symptoms around three days ago and was tested positive on Tuesday. She has been shifted to Greater Noida Institute of Medical Science (GIMS) for quarantine and her family members have been tested and advised to remain in self-isolation,” the CMO added.

Apart from the woman, another patient, a resident of ATS Dolce society in sector Zeta-i of Greater Noida also tested positive with Covid-19, confirmed reports on Tuesday evening. The third patient who was tested positive was reported from Sector 137 of Noida. Meanwhile, the district administra­tion has sealed the two residentia­l societies.

“A fresh case of positive Covid-19 came from Lotus Blossom in Sector 137 of Noida and ATS Dolce. The entire residentia­l complex of these two societies has been sealed for sanitisati­on for next two days starting from Tuesday till March 26. A strict compliance to the guidelines must be followed and entry and exit will not be allowed in the society,” said B N Singh, DM, GB Nagar.

Till now, GB Nagar district has reported nine positive cases. Earlier positive Covid19 patients were reported from Sector 100, 78, 74, 41 in Noida while one positive case from sector Alpha-i and two positive cases, a mother and son duo, were reported from a residentia­l society in Sector-2 of Greater Noida.
