1.85 lakh needy people get free food in Chhattisga­rh

RAIPUR: Under the direction of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, free food is being provided to more than one lakh 85 thousand poor, laborers and destitute across the state with the help of local administra­tion and voluntary organisati­ons in the districts.

It is important to note that in view of the problem of live

lihood in front of the needy poor, laborers and the destitute due to the lockdown caused by the infection of the coron virus, the administra­tion has made arrangemen­ts to provide free food and ration in all the districts of the state. In this work,

local voluntary organizati­ons and donors are also cooperatin­g on their behalf.

Food and lodging arrangemen­ts have been made for the poor, laborers, destitute and needy people in all the districts of the state of Chhattisga­rh. For the people living in the camp, which includes laborers from other states besides Chhattisga­rh state, the district administra­tion is providing food, tea snacks and medical facilities free of cost.

According to the informatio­n received today, one lakh 84 thousand 712 people were distribute­d free food and ration in 28 districts of the state on April 1. So far, two lakh one thousand 298 people have been given necessary help and masks etc. with the help of voluntary organizati­ons.

In Raipur district, along with providing free food and ration to maximum one lakh 3 thousand 606 people, masks and other materials have been distribute­d to keep them safe from corona contagious disease.
