5 TEST POSITIVE IN GURUGRAM

GURUGRAM: Five cases of Coronaviru­s were reported in Gurugram on Friday, making the total number of active cases to six.

Among those infected include three males and two females. Among the males, one of the patients found positive with COVID-19 was a part of Tablighi Jamaat. The other case that has been reported from Sector-54, a son and father duo has been infected.

According to health officials, there is a possibilit­y that the son got infected when he was in Mumbai. Among the females, one patient had returned from Italy while the other patient is nurse at a private hospital.

Even as the health officials expressed disappoint­ment of a sudden spike in the number of cases, it was highlighte­d that most of the new patients were asymptomat­ic and showed milder symptoms of the deadly virus.

On the other hand, Nuh not only reported its first figures but there were three cases from the region. According to the health officials, all the three patients belong from Kerala and were a part of Tablighi Jamaat.

Karnal saw its first case of COVID-19 too.

On Friday, 60 samples were collected and testing of 21 was done in the private laboratori­es and 39 in the government labs. Total samples that have been collected till date is 647, in which, 572 have come out as negative. There are a total of 6,515 persons that have been screened till date.

The surge in cases of Gurugram and Nuh has resulted in the number of COVID-19 cases in Haryana rising to 44.
