Revisit the classics across genres from cinematic gems to unexplored decades-old cult cinemas to reduce the stress attached to being at home. The following list will help you to avoid the struggle of choosing some brilliant movies that has come out of Bollywood and Hollywood over the decades. CHUPKE CHUPKE (1975): Hrishikesh Mukherjee's comedy film is about a man pretending to be a driver and fooling his wife's brother-in-law as an attempt to prove that the brotherin-law is not as smart as he claims to be.

PAKEEZAH (1972): The Kamal Amrohi directed film sees the last performanc­e by Meena Kumari. The film set in Lucknow revolves around the mental plight of a tawaif (courtesan and dancer) and their longing to be loved, accepted and respected by society.

BOBBY (1973): Dimple Kapadia, Rishi Kapoor, Pran, and Prem Nath starring film presents a simple love story between the son of a rich Hindu businessma­n with 16-year-old Bobby, a Catholic belonging to a very different stature.

GOL MAAL (1979): Hrishikesh Mukherji's Gol Maal is an exceptiona­l example of mainstream comedies that Bollywood has ever made. Featuring Utpal Dutt, Amol Palekar and Bindiya Goswami, the film narrates a story of confusion, triggered off by a man who, under circumstan­ces, has to pretend that he has a wayward and ill-mannered twin brother.

ANDAZ APNA APNA (1994): Aamir and Salman starrer film narrates adventures of two young broke men who discover that a stunning heiress lives nearby and tries to charm her.

DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE (1995): The iconic love story of Raj and Simran's is an anytime watch. The Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer follows the romance of two NRIS who despite being madly in love refuse to elope. It is remembered for its plot, dialogues and soulful music.

SILSILA (1981): Late Yash Chopra's romantic drama is thwarted by society's demands, which reappears as adultery. The film stars late Shashi

Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Rekha and Sanjeev Kumar in lead roles.

JAANE BHI DO YAARO (1983): Kundan Shah directed comedy is a dark satire on the corruption in Indian politics, bureaucrac­y, media and business. Featuring Naseeruddi­n Shah, Ravi Baswani, late Om Puri, Pankaj Kapur among others, the film can get you stomach ache.

SHOLAY (1975): Directed by Ramesh Sippy, the revenge drama tells the story of a retired policeman (Thakur) who summons a pair of small-time thieves (Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan) to help him capture a notorious dacoit Gabbar Singh (late Amjad Khan).

MAINE PYAAR KIYA (1989): The musical directed by Sooraj Barjatya holds a special place in the hearts of many who grew up in the 1990s. Sooraj Barjatya directed romantic dram re-defined friendship and romance in Bollywood.

HERA PHERI (2000): Priyadarsh­an's madcap misadventu­re starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty and Tabu narrates the story of three impoverish­ed men who become rich by the end of the tale thanks to a freakish stroke of luck and a kidnapping plan gone wrong.

THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION (1994): Based on Stephen King's 1982 novella, the film tells the story of two prisoners who forge a lifelong friendship.

MODERN TIMES (1936): The iconic silent comedy film written and directed by Charlie Chaplin brings the struggles to survive in the modern, industrial­ised world.
