4 more test +ve in GB Nagar; total cases 58

NOIDA: With four more positive cases of Covid-19 reported from Noida, taking the total number of patients to 58 in Gautam Buddh Nagar district. Health officials said that eight persons out of the total cases have been cured and discharged from the hospital while 50 others are still getting treatment.

As per a senior medical officer, one patient is from Wajidpur village near Sector 135 of Noida while the other three are from a residentia­l society in Sector 62.

“All the four new cases have been related to Ceasefire corporate company in Sector 135 of Noida, which has emerged as the largest cluster in the city so far. One person who is a family member of company’s employee and is a resident of Wajidpur village tested positive while three others from Designer Park society in Sector 62 of Noida, who were also infected from the same source, were tested positive on Saturday,” senior medical officer said.

informed the that reports of 138 persons are still awaited. “Around 804 suspected persons have been tested till now out of which 614 persons have tested negative. Samples of 138 persons have been sent to laboratory for testing and their reports are awaited,” the DM said.

Meanwhile, with the recent four positive cases reported from slum area near JJ colony in Sector 5 of Noida on Friday night, the administra­tion has stepped up vigil for monitoring, considerin­g the density of population in these locations.
